Who Is Eligible To Join?

Women who like to sing and would like to learn more about the art of a cappella, four-part barbershop singing, as well as good vocal techniques and a variety of team skills.

How Do I Know If I'll Like It?

Visit our rehearsal on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 15764 Clayton Road, Ellisville, Missouri. For questions, call 636-537-3058 (ask for Carol).

The first night you can join us on the risers and look over the music we're currently rehearsing. You'll have been asked to step into a private room with a member of the music committee, who will help you determine your voice part. After attending three or more rehearsals, you'll be asked if you'd like to audition.

What Is The River Blenders Chorus' Focus?

• Excelling in the art of four-part barbershop harmony

• striving for professional excellence

• exciting audiences with innovative performances

• sharing harmony through fun and fellowship

AUDITION PROCESS:

Over the 3-4 weeks you attended rehearsals, you will have targeted a piece of music to learn. You may ask the membership chairperson for a learning (audio) tape to work on this music in the privacy of your home.

After You've Comfortably Learned The Music

Ask the Director to please sing through your selected song during the evening. You can sing your part into a tape recorder, while the rest of the chorus is singing, too. More than likely, many members will be unaware that you are auditioning.

Turn Your Tape Over To The Membership Chairperson

Who will in turn give it to the music committee. In the meantime, you will have filled out a membership questionnaire/form that tells the membership committee more about your interests. By this time, you should have been given information about membership dues to both the River Blenders Chorus and Sweet Adelines International, Inc. In addition, the membership contact will have told you about some expectations for new members.

Once You're A Member

Other members will help you on your road to success in singing with the River Blenders Chorus!
