Laura Buehler

Communications Manager

             Laura Buehler, tenor, has served the River Blenders Chorus in various capacities during the past thirteen years.  She was a Board Member when that style of leadership was used, and she was Chairperson of the Publicity Committee.  She has worked with the Show Script Committee as a chairperson and as a writer.  She also co-edited the Sound Crier and was a contributing writer as well.  

In 2005 she joined the new Extension Chords, and she has grown as a singer because of it.  She wishes that every chorus member could have the opportunity to sing in a small ensemble or quartet.

           Outside of the chorus, she is an Office Manager for a Cardiologist.  Her degree in cultural anthropology, along with a minor in creative writing, has given her a unique perspective.  Her other hobbies include reading and writing fiction, watching Cardinals Baseball, walking, and playing with her dog, Indigo.  She enjoys listening to all forms of Jazz, from the standards to modern, but, of course, her favorite style of music is Barbershop.

          Laura’s vision for the River Blenders’ is for each member to realize her full potential, both as a singer and as an individual.  Does that future include a Top Ten placement at a Sweet Adelines International Competition?  Laura firmly believes that it does.
